This handler has to implement a protocol, which is described in a protocol definition document for the particular device, in order to control the peripheral device and monitor what is happening.Paylink is not just a Milan Interface unit, which could be replaced by a simple "level shifter" providing the electronic RS232, ccTalk or MDB interface. This would still leave your software team to write these communications protocols.
