REPLACEMENT PAPER COVER FOR THEFD130 /FD130duo FD150 TERMINALS INCLUDING THE ROLLER/GEAR ASSEMBLY This is the paper cover including the roller assembly. Typically the gear at the end get chewed-up or breaks. The plastic tabs holding the roller may also be damaged. To replace cover:Look at the back of the machine where the cover is attached. One side has an opening slot which will allow you to unsnap the cover. It will take some force to release it. When you get from me the new one, insert one side’s pin into the complete hole, and snap in the other side into the open slot. REPLACEMENT paper cover ROLLER for the FD130 / FD130DUO FD150 terminals includes the GEAR This is the paper cover ROLLER assembly ONLY. Typically the gear at the end get chewed-up or breaks. NOTE: In many cases the cause for bad printing is not the gear. So first lift the door and turn the roller around and see if one or more TEETH are missing.If there is nothing amiss then the print problem is inside the printer which is not accessible to you. The print mech problem shows as light or missing printed columns .The bad gear problem manifests itself as sputtering, nose and skipping print lines entirely. I do not sell the GEAR separately since the only way they are available from FD are complete roller/gear assemblies. IF you only need the white gear replaced -INSTRUCTIONS:1. Lift the paper cover door2. Using a flat head screwdriver as leverage against the roller holding tab, pop off the defective gear.3. Wiggle off the gear from the roller/gear assembly you recd from me.4. Align the new gear with the shaft flat side out. Since the shaft head is not round (nor is the gear hole) you will have to move it around a bit till they align, then press in till you see end of steel shaft coming out of gear face (just a bit) If replacing the entire roller+gear assembly,be careful in removing the old roller from your machine: One side has the GEAR but no slot to remove, so pull the gear off first.The other side has a slot in the plastic holder so placing a flat head screwdriver under the roller as leverage will help you unsnap it thru the slot, but be careful not to break the plastic tab. Better to try and pop it out by thumb pressure.
