Replacing this lock can take about 5-10 minutes, and, is possible even if your drawer is totally locked (see below). What’s Included? This is a compatible A001 cash drawer lock and 2 keys which will replace the “A” series locks on the compatible Clover D100 cash drawer. We are unable to send specific lock codes. All locks shipped will have code A001. See the second photo showing an example of this replacement lock in a compatible Clover D100 model drawer. The A001 lock, 2 keys, and retainer clip shown in the first photo are what will be shipped. If you’ve lost your keys, or broken the lock, then this lock will replace an existing A001 through A200 lock. Replacing the lock will allow for extending the life of an existing drawer. Plus, we also sell additional A001 keys to fit this compatible lock on our listing for A001 keys. So, with this replacement lock, you’ll no longer find it hard to find spare keys. What Does It Fit? It is compatible to replace the lock on a white Clover D100 model drawer. If the code on the face of your lock does not have a code patter A####, and/or if it doesn’t look the same, then do not assume it will fit because cash drawer locks are not universal. Contact us with any questions before purchasing as we have a deep database of knowledge on POS locks and keys. How Do I Replace the Lock? If you can open the drawer, then: (Note: the drawer’s metal edges are sharp, so use care to avoid cutting yourself) remove the black bill & coin till with the key inserted, take a photo of the front and back of the lock to document the orientation of the key and latch Use pliers to pull up on the metal “C” retainer clip on the rear of the lock Rotate the lock out. To do so, there’s a small “notch” in the hole. The tip of the silver rear locking latch needs to be aligned with that notch to get the lock out Install the new lock and orient the replacement lock and key so they are same as the photos you took Put the “C” retainer clip back and reinstall the till Before closing the drawer, test that the lock rotates both directions. If so, then close the drawer and test as normal. What if My Drawer is Locked? See the photos for an example of the underside of a D100 drawer for reference These drawers have two levels of being “locked”. In one mode, the drawer is locked, but can be kicked open electronically by a print command. In the other mode, the locking latch is physically engaged such that even a “kick open” won’t open it. If the drawer is only “electronically” locked, then there’s small 7/8″ by 1/2″ metal plate on the underside of the drawer’s frame (as marked in a blue box in one of our photos) that’s held in place by one screw. Removing that plate exposes a lever that can be used to pop the drawer open. If the kick lever doesn’t work to open the drawer, then remove ONLY the 8 screws (as marked in red in one of our photos) that are closest to the edge of the drawer. Then, carefully pull up from the REAR of the drawer and you should be able to remove the internals of the drawer as one piece. To do so, support the inside components with your hands as you’re pulling up at an angle from the rear. Once removed, separate the rolling tray from the bottom panel.
